2-alarm fire rips through apts with no sprinklers

BEAVERTON, Ore. (KOIN) — A 2-alarm fire raged through a Beaverton apartment building in the early morning hours of Sunday, displacing about 10 people. No one was hurt.
The fire was reported around 1 a.m. When TVF&R crews arrived at SW 125th off Hall Boulevard they saw flames coming from several units and called for a 2nd alarm. Crews fought the blaze from the outside.
There were no fire sprinklers in the apartment, which were not required when it was built.
A cause has not yet been determined.
