NORTHBROOK, ILL. — F.E. Moran Fire Protection was awarded with the Illinois Fire Service Institute Appreciation Award in mid-January. This is the third year in a row that F.E. Moran Fire Protection has taken home this humbling award. F.E. Moran Fire Protection has provided IFSI with many resources to enhance its educational endeavors. Most notably, it provided side-by-side burn units for the IFSI and University of Illinois-hosted Fire Factor program and trained IFSI cadets on sprinkler valves in its training facility.
The Fire Factor program teaches fire risks and preventive measures to college students. Fire Factor creates educational resources and interactive learning experiences for the U of I community. F.E. Moran Fire Protection has been providing resources for this program for several years.
IFSI provides continuing education to firefighters and first responders on unconventional hazards, rescue situations, new equipment, and new technology.
