Late night fire alarms at Sakoon Restaurant triggered by small oven fire. Building sprinklers extinguished the fire before the fire department arrived.
The Mountain View Fire Department responded to fire alarms at 357 Castro St. on New Year's caused by an oven fire at Sakoon Restaurant, according to Battalion Chief Richard Alameda.
Firefighters from Engine No. 1, who arrived around 3 a.m., assessed the scene and first enteredSono Sushi. However, they soon discovered that the smoke emanated from the Indian restaurant Sakoon.
